The
Pinal County Comprehensive Plan is well underway!
Here is an update on what’s new! Provide
Feedback on the Draft Vision
Through
the input received from the ten Road Shows held
in July and the seven Visioning Workshops held in
August, a draft Vision for Pinal County has been
developed. We now want your feedback so that we
can finalize the Vision.
The Vision is a foundation for the Pinal County
Comprehensive Plan process, and will serve as the
criteria in which all land use alternatives and
policies will be evaluated against. It is important
that the Vision reflects the future destination
for Pinal County.
In
early October, six Design Charrette events were
held around the County.
At each event, participants were divided into small
groups where they were tasked with developing a
land use and transportation plan for Pinal County.
Twenty
land use and transportation plans were developed
from these six events, including a plan developed
by a graduate class from ASU’s Global Institute
of Sustainability.
These twenty plans will be used to develop the land
use alternatives for Pinal County.

The
Executive Summary as well as the Full Report for
the Design Charrettes are now available online.
Included in the individual event reports are photos
of each land use and transportation plan as well
as the individual small group summaries.
